Einfach Germany

Editorial policy

How we research, write, date and correct what you read here.

We are independent

Einfach Germany is an independent information platform and is not affiliated with the German government.

Nobody pays for coverage here. No authority, university, insurer or bank has any say over what a guide says, and none of them reviews our pages before publication.

Official sources come first

Where a rule, amount or procedure is decided by a German authority, we say what the concept is and link to the authority that decides it. Every guide ends with an Official information block naming the specific bodies for that topic.

When an authority publishes a current figure, we show the answer, its effective date and the date we verified it. Changing amounts such as Kindergeld and visa thresholds come from one central fact record so articles, hubs, search summaries and calculators cannot drift. If a figure cannot be verified, we withhold the number and link to the authority instead of guessing.

Pages carry dates

Every guide shows when it was last reviewed. Our external links were last checked on 2026-08-13. A date is a claim about work actually done, so we do not refresh it automatically to look current.

We correct things

If something here is wrong, we want to fix it, and we would rather hear about it from you than leave it. Corrections to anything that could affect a decision are made promptly and the review date is updated.

Commercial relationships

The site is prepared for advertising and may in future include a small number of affiliate partnerships, but neither is active today. Any future affiliate link will be disclosed on the card that contains it. Commercial relationships will never change what a guide says, and official government links are never affiliate links.

What we are not

We do not give legal, tax, immigration or medical advice, and nothing here is an eligibility decision. For decisions that matter, verify current requirements with the responsible authority.
